The purpose of this prayer is to ask Mannanan Mac Lir to guide and watchover our loved-one as they pass over. I feel it is more powerfull if said shortly after the moment of physical death.
Oirbsen, a freind has died and must pass to the Otherworld.
Open the Gate and guard his/her travels as he/she passes to
House of Don to feast with the gods.
Watch over them as they travel among the Isles of
the Otherworld waiting to meet family and freinds
on Samhain.
Mannanan, walk with them as they return to this world
to be born again and rejoin thier family as a child.
